Flourish Home Care was founded in the city of Sacramento, California. Our primary Goal is to offer unconditional and high-quality non-medical care services to seniors.

Going by the rapidly growing populations, more than 10, 000 people are turning 65 each day, according to the united states Census Bureau, the number of adults who turned 65 or older grew from 3.1 million in 1900 to 35 million in 2000. In 2018, the the U.S reported more than 56 million people aged 65 or older.

Thanks to improved medical care, more seniors are living well into their 80s and 90s. Many are capable of maintainig their independence at home with some outside help and assistance. That's what we do.
We help seniors stay in their own home and enjoy an independent life. Seniors expeirence less stress and live happier, healthier, longer lives at home surrounded with farmiliar things. Personal Care Services

Personal Care services offer assistance to clients, who have experienced a loss in their ability to perform the activities of daily living, to remain in a safe, clean and healthy home environment as a result of old age, sickness, disability and/or other infliction's.

Personal Care services include:

  • Assisting with eating
  • Assisting with bathing
  • Assisting with tooth care
  • Assisting/providing grooming
  • Assisting/providing hair care
  • Assisting with bowel regularity
  • Assisting with transfers
  • Assisting with self-administered medication
  • Assisting/providing basic skin care
  • Assisting with dressing including putting on support stockings, which do not require a physician’s prescription
  • Assisting with nail maintenance including
  • Emptying or changing external urinary collecting devices, including catheter bags and supra-pubic bags
  • Encouraging clients to perform normal body movements, as tolerated
  • Encouraging clients to follow prescribed exercise programs
  • Assisting with prosthetics such as applying/removing/cleaning hearing aids and limbs
  • Assisting with menstrual care
  • Assistance with urinals, bedpans and/or commodes
  • Providing bowel and bladder incontinence care
  • Assisting with positioning in bed, wheelchair and other chairs
  • Assisting with positioning cradles, rolls and pillows
  • Assisting with transferring back and forth from bed, wheelchair, toilet and chair.

Homemaker Services

Homemaker services offer direct and practical assistance with household tasks and related activities. Homemaker services assist the client who has experienced a loss in the ability to perform the instrumental activities in daily living to remain in a safe, clean and healthy home environment.

Homemaker services include:

  • Conducting routine housekeeping activities
  • Doing laundry and ironing
  • Mending clothes
  • Teaching/performing meal planning and preparation
  • Cleaning up after meals
  • Assisting with special, written diet plans and reinforcing diet maintenance, which is provided under the direction of a Physician
  • Escorting or transporting clients to medical facilities, errands, shopping and outings
  • Shopping for essential items on client’s behalf such as
  • Groceries and cleaning supplies
  • Performing errands such as picking up medication and posting mail
  • Providing companionship, friendship and emotional support
  • Reading essential material to illiterate clients
  • Assisting clients with communication by writing or typing correspondence
  • Performing optional homemaker services, which are short-term, intermittent tasks necessary to maintain a clean, safe, healthy, and habitable home environment

Understanding that every client has there different situations and we know that short-term assistance is frequently needed for your loved ones. Respite care services is furnished on a short-term basis because of the absence or need for relief of those persons normally providing the care. Flexibility is one of the most significant benefits of respite care, you’ll also gain peace of mind knowing your loved one is in capable and experienced hands even for a short-time and it’s easy to get started.

Respite Services

Companion/Sitter Services

Companion/Sitter services include non-medical care, socialization and basic supervision to ensure our client’s safety and well-being. Companions may provide light housekeeping tasks, which are secondary to the care and supervision of the client. Loneliness is one of the great, invisible dangers that older adults face. Fortunately, our trained and bonded companions are available on a full- or part-time basis, this make it easier for older adults to maintain all-important social bonds, which can help promote longevity, reduce depression, and improve their overall quality of life.

Our services are flexible, convenient, and it’s easy to get started. We understand that every situation is unique, so we provide a personalized care plan that’s modified to meet each client’s specific needs. As a client’s situation changes, so does our plan of care.

Companion/Sitter services include, but are not limited to

  • Providing companionship, friendship and emotional support
  • Talking listening, sharing experiences
  • Playing games/cards, reading to client etc.
  • Helping keep clients in contact with family, friends and the outside world
  • Providing transportation and escort assistant to medical appointments, grocery store and errands
  • Accompanying clients to recreational and/or social events
  • Assisting with plans for visits and outings
  • Writing or typing letters/correspondence
  • Organizing and reading mail

Companion / Sitter Services

Chore Services

Chore Services are short-term, non-continuous tasks necessary to maintain a clean, safe, sanitary and habitable home environment to maintain clients’ health and safety.

Chore services include, but are not limited to, the following activities:

  • Doing heavy cleaning (washing walls, windows, stoves and woodwork)
  • Cleaning closets, basements and attics to remove fire and health hazards
  • Cleaning/shampooing and securing rugs and carpets
  • Providing rodent control within the home (i.e., setting traps)
  • Replacing light bulbs, fuses, electrical plugs, and frayed cords
  • Replacing light bulbs, fuses, electrical plugs, and frayed cords
  • Replacing door locks and window catches
  • Replacing faucets or faucet washers
  • Installing screens and storm windows;

Friendly Reassurance Services refer to making regular contact, through either telephone or in-home visits, with home-bound individuals to assure their well-being and safety.

Specialized Care

Specialized Care refers to activities/services unique to a client’s care needs that facilitate that individual’s health, safety, welfare, and ability to live independently regardless of their age or type of disability. These non-skilled activities/services include assistance with bowel and bladder routines, assistance with medication, ostomy care, clean intermittent catheterization, assistance with skin care, and wound care.
